Tsung-Mei “Connie” Tsai, L.Ac., is a California Board-Licensed Acupuncturist dedicated to combining the profound wisdom of traditional medicine with modern clinical research. Over the past decade, she has built an exceptional reputation across the East Bay community for her compassionate care and clinical efficacy. Tsung-Mei specializes in addressing complex internal conditions, hard-to-treat chronic pain, and rare specialized disorders that standard medical pathways often struggle to resolve.
California Licensure & Advanced Training:
Tsung-Mei “Connie” holds her primary professional licensure from the California Acupuncture Board. Demonstrating her broad clinical competency, she has successfully passed the core acupuncture examination component of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Furthermore, she pursued advanced doctoral studies as a DAOM Candidate at the renowned Five Branches University in California, completing their core foundational curriculum.
Elite Clinical Residency & Hospital Training:
To deepen her internal medicine and herbal expertise, Tsung-Mei “Connie” traveled internationally to undergo intensive clinical residency and advanced training in specialized herbal therapies at the highly prestigious Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, the Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and the Nanjing TCM Outpatient Department.
Global Clinical Insights & Mentorship:
Driven by a lifelong passion for the healing arts, Tsung-Mei has spent over ten years cultivating a diverse, international clinical perspective. She has completed advanced clinical mentorships, studying directly alongside world-renowned acupuncture masters and distinguished professors across Taiwan, Mainland China, Canada, and the United States.

Tsung-Mei believes true medicine extends directly into the community. Over the last decade, she has volunteered extensively, providing health seminars, free public clinics, and medical outreach for organizations throughout the Bay Area, including:
Disaster Relief:
Free acupuncture clinic at the Silver Dollar Fairground Evacuation Center (Chico, CA) after local wildfire crises.
Community Care:
Medical volunteer work with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, Agape Charitable Dental & Medical Group, and the Fremont Centerville Presbyterian Church.
Leadership & Advocacy:
Served as the 7th Vice President of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women-Northern California (GFCBWNC) for one year, promoting health education and supporting local community activities. The 7th Kids’ N Fun Festival-Cupertino, served as Stage Director.
